What We Do

We would like to help you with technology for your ministry. We can provide the experienced advice you need to make critical decisions about networking, upgrading, training, repairing, and the Internet. With our help you will be able to plan, budget and manage your technology needs and at the same time remain a good steward of the resources God has entrusted to your ministry. In order to accomplish these goals we will provide:

Complete Review
A complete technology review is useful for developing a Technology Plan to incorporate your ideas into your ministry.

  1. PLANNING: An initial meeting with key administrative staff persons will be held to determine your goals and objectives for technology in your ministry.
  2. ASSESSMENT: An inventory and evaluation of your existing hardware and software will be completed.
  3. RECOMMENDATION: A proposal will be made for replacing, upgrading or repairing equipment and software to meet the established goals.
  4. PURCHASING: Assistance with procuring the needed items including vendors, suppliers, and benefactors will be provided.
  5. IMPLEMENTATION: Installation, repair, and upgrades to both hardware and software will be scheduled and completed.
  6. TRAINING: Instruction will be given to key personnel in utilizing the new hardware and software to enable them to train others.

Networking Assistance
Networking is a valuable tool which allows you to share resources and communicate more efficiently within your ministry. As part of any future plans we recommend networking offices and other areas of your facility together. Networking will provide a means to implementing an e-mail system which will help to eliminate unnecessary paperwork and improve interoffice communications.

Repair and Upgrade
Many times it is more cost effective to upgrade existing hardware than replace it. We can evaluate your present hardware and make recommendations for upgrading. We can also repair any equipment whenever it is needed.

Training
Training is the most neglected area of technology. Often the capabilities of the equipment and software exceed the ability of the personnel. We will provide basic training in Windows 98/Me/2000/XP, e-mail, the Internet, word processing, web publishing and any other areas needed.

Internet and E-mail
The Internet and e-mail are vital communication tools linking your ministry to the world. In addition  e-mail provides a connection between you and your missionaries in the field, other ministries around the world, friends, and family. E-mail also improves office communication. A ministry web site gives you a global outreach by allowing others to access detailed information about your ministry.

Our Ministry

God has called us to use more than thirty years of experience in the field of technology to help others. Our goal is to provide assistance to churches, schools, and other ministries that need expert advice and basic support with the new technologies of today.

In order to meet this challenge, we have answered God's call to start Technology Ministries.  Our services are now available to all those who need them.

As a part of this new ministry we will travel to your location for a few days or several weeks/months at a time. Since we have no other income to enable us to do this, we will need your assistance.

We rely on the Lord's people to supply our basic needs of food, lodging and travel expenses.

As the Lord leads, and so that we can continue to assist others, we ask that you consider a love offering in addition to our basic expenses.

We are God's laborers and do not charge or bill any fees for our services. We will provide assistance to any ministry but cannot continue to operate without your help with our basic expenses.

"I know of no couple to equal the unique combination of Norm and Marianna Pettus. These two have a heart for the Lord and expertise in computer technology that make them the perfect answer to the many questions you have about computers in your ministry. They are technological missionaries in every sense, use them."

Dr. Randy Ray
Pastor, Temple Baptist Church, Tallahassee, Florida

"My affiliation with Norman Pettus has been through the Tallahassee P.C. Users Group for over ten years. Norm's dedication to his classroom, school, and church is without peer. His ability to implement technology in the classroom and technical understanding makes him a unique asset to his church and school. His work at North Florida Christian School transcended the classroom bringing modern computer office technology to the administration, campus, and church. Other institutions that have the opportunity to avail themselves of his technical talents should consider themselves fortunate."

Mr. Bud Moore
President, Tallahassee PC Users Group

"I consider it a privilege to recommend Norman Pettus. I have known Norm for twenty-one years and can speak very highly of him. He is honest in his dealings and a real testimony for Jesus Christ. Last summer he spent several days in our School Computer Lab and transformed it into a very effective teaching ministry. Our children can't wait to get to computer class and our parents are sold on the program. With his experience in Computer education there is no job to big. I urge you to contact him today and discover truly what Christian education can be in the light of computer education. As Principal of Daytona Beach Christian School I can personally recommend his services to your school."

Dr. Randolph Price
Principal, Daytona Beach Christian School

Our Background

Norman Pettus pictureMarianna Pettus pictureNorman is an electrical engineer who has worked as a consultant on such projects as NASA's Gemini and Apollo space program, the National Geographic's Stratoscope (a balloon-borne telescope), and many other government, space, and military projects. He has also been a seminar instructor at Florida State University's Summer Institute for teachers. From 1977 through 1998, he has served as Director of the ACE program, Assistant Principal, and Director of Technology at North Florida Christian School in Tallahassee, Florida.

While at NFCS in Tallahassee, Norman and Marianna worked together and had a strong Godly influence on hundreds of students in the classroom. Many students were encouraged by his dedication and knowledge and Marianna's testimony as a Godly wife. As many as 100 of these students entered local, regional, state, and International Science Fairs and many received top awards and academic scholarships. In 1988, Norman coached a team of four students who competed for a $1,000,000 supercomputer, in the first SuperQuest competition. The team from NFCS placed second in the nation out of a group of over 1400 schools that entered.

During the years of ministering together, they have both developed a strong desire to give back to God and the Christian community all that God has taught them in the area of technology.
